Richard Sherman and Travis Kelce are ready for Super Bowl LIV.
The San Francisco 49ers cornerback and Kansas City Chiefs tight end met for a friendly but intense game of Madden NFL 20 for Xbox Sessions: Game Before the Game on Tuesday (January 28), where they played for for their charities of their choice; Sherman played Blanket Coverage, the Richard Sherman Family Foundation while Kelce played for Eighty-Seven & Running.
On the virtual football field, Sherman owned the first half, scoring the first touchdown and holding Kelce to a mere field goal before going into halftime with a 7-3 lead for the 49ers. However, Kelce and the Chiefs were quick to respond in the beginning of the second half with a 50-yard kickoff return, ultimately leading to a touchdown to give the Chiefs a 10-7 lead as the game barreled toward the start of the 4th quarter.
While the Chiefs made a huge defensive stand and the teams traded touchdowns, the 49ers couldn’t be stopped. Sherman and the 49ers made a huge pick-6 play towards the end of the game – securing the win and earning Sherman not only bragging rights leading up to Sunday’s game, but also 50 Xbox One X consoles and a copy of Madden NFL 20.
Celeb Secrets spoke with Sherman and Kelce following the match to discuss their pre-game prep for Super Bowl LIV, where they chatted about game day outfits, pre-game playlists and more.
“I would say I’m going to bring a little bit of Miami to it. I’ll throw a suit on for this one and definitely bring the Miami vice style,” Kelce tells our reporters about his game day outfit.
“It will probably be some Drake, Nipsey with Kendrick [Lamar], old school Eminem, some real, old ‘Pac. Just a lot of angry stuff with cursing and yelling,” Sherman adds about his pre-game playlist.
Super Bowl LIV airs Sunday, February 2nd @ 6:30PM ET/3:30PM PT on FOX.
