AMC’s NOS4A2 is officially back for a second season!
For those who don’t know, NOS4A2 is based off Joe Hill’s New York Times best-selling novel of the same name and is a different kind of vampire story. It follows Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings), a gifted young woman who discovers she has a supernatural ability to find lost things. This ability puts her on a collision course with the evil and immortal Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto), who is a supernatural villain who feeds off the souls of children and then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland — a twisted place of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. Vic strives to defeat Manx and rescue his victims — without losing her mind or falling victim to him.
With the first episode of season two already out, NOS4A2 is bound to be this summer’s best supernatural horror series and we couldn’t be more excited about it. Picking up where things left off, the show returns with Vic McQueen more determined than ever to destroy Charlie Manx as he seeks revenge against Vic.
A character that we’re getting to learn more about this season is Millie Manx, played by budding actress Mattea Conforti. The 14-year-old’s character is still very important in Charlie’s life, however, these upcoming episodes will find her on more adventures than usual, according to HollywoodLife.
“She’s going to find herself more than she did in Christmasland. She’s going to become more of her own individual, and Millie Manx is going to learn how to take care of herself and how to assume the role of a leader. I think this season she is going to learn more about her own path. She’s going to realize where her father came from and where she came from and how she had such a strong connection with her father in the first place,” the actress said.
Most known for getting “secrets” from your favorite celebs, we asked Mattea to send us five fun facts about herself that you wouldn’t know when watching her on NOS4A2, including being a Broadway star! Keep scrolling to learn more and tune in to NOS4A2 every Sunday at 10PM on AMC.

1. My very first theatre audition was an open call for the Broadway musical, Matilda. I was eight years old, and I had never taken a voice lesson or an acting class in my life! I remember walking into the audition room and seeing a sea of girls with professional headshots and song books filled with songs. I had a “headshot” that my aunt took of me the day before with my name written on the back, and I had the one song I knew at the time, “Tomorrow,” from “Annie,” in hand. I wore my jazz shoes just in case they wanted me to dance. I waited for hours, because I was non-equity at the time, and to pass the time, I practiced my jazz solo because up until that point, my only focus was competition dance. After my audition, I felt pretty good, but I did not hear anything from the show. It wasn’t until 6 months later, and totally out of the blue, that I got a callback for the role of Matilda! I booked the role about 2 weeks later, and made my Broadway debut on the Fourth of July, 2015!
2. I’m a Jersey girl, but I love country music. My favorites are Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and Sam Hunt. I live pretty close to New York City, so I’m hopeful that once it is safe for the entertainment industry to get back to business, I can go to one (or all) of their concerts!
3. I’m pretty athletic. I play lacrosse, dance ballet and practice my tumbling any chance I can. I can do back flips, an aerial, which is a cartwheel with no hands, and I just taught myself how to do a back tuck. I’m also pretty good at baseball – I throw righty, but bat lefty!
4. Besides acting, one of my career goals is to be a surgeon. My grandfather is an obstetrician, and he is a huge inspiration to me. I can definitely see myself delivering babies just like him one day. My favorite subject in school is science, especially biology, (I’m also kind of a nerd).
5. I’m a huge Star Wars fan! During quarantine, I watched all of the episodes and my favorites are the ones that tell the story of Anakin Skywalker. My brother and sister even got me a lightsaber for my birthday. Of course, they got themselves one too, so we can battle!
