Jay Webb Gets Real About Faith, Addiction, & His New Album ‘Where To Find Me’ (Exclusive)

Jay Webb doesn’t just write songs—he lives them. The Alabama native’s debut album Where To Find Me is the result of a life shaped by hardship, healing, and a relentless hunger to create music that matters. A blend of raw country storytelling, hip-hop edge, and southern soul, the 10-track album dropped July 25, the same day Webb launched his third headlining tour in his hometown of Mobile, Ala.

But don’t call him an overnight success. Jay Webb’s story is one of perseverance, faith, and fearless honesty—both on stage and off.

Before he was selling out shows and racking up over 415 million global streams, Webb was making music in closets and bedrooms across Alabama, recording over 300 songs on his own before anything took off.

“I think I was able to really create something that was totally me,” he tells Celeb Secrets. “It wasn’t necessarily to the level it is now as far as quality, but I was able to say, ‘Here’s exactly what I want this to sound like. Now how can we make it better?’”

That unwavering dedication paid off. His breakout moment came when his first-ever country song, “Southern Girl,” went viral on TikTok—after years of trying his hand at rap.

“I’d made 300 rap songs and none of ’em did anything,” he laughs. “And I was just like, dude, I’m doing yard work, going to bonfires, living this country life… and I’m not even talking about any of this. ‘Southern Girl’ connected with people that wanted that beat but also were just living that country life too.”

Webb’s blend of country roots and trap influence creates a sound that defies easy labels—but his identity as an artist is anything but unclear.

“If my sound were a recipe, it’d be some Southern roots, catchy melodies, and definitely some middle finger,” he jokes. “You put those together, and you get your boy.”

That fearless authenticity also applies to his faith—something that plays a central role in both his life and music.

“I cuss, I drink, I smoke… and I also have a very, very close relationship with God,” he says candidly. “I don’t like to hide things. I like to keep it real. People get it in their head that faith means church and judgment, and that’s just not reality.”

His faith even shows up in the most unexpected places—like the tattoos on his face.

“I wanted it to be a lesson for anyone who judged me,” he shares. “These are all faith-based: God’s greatest gifts, faith, love, a cross. I wanted to flip the script.”

Webb’s newest single, “One More Shot,” might be his most powerful release yet. Written alongside Eddie Eberle, the stripped-down acoustic ballad is a haunting confession of alcohol dependency and the desperate cycle of trying to stay afloat.

“There were times where I was waking up shaking after drinking all night for six days straight,” he says. “The only thing that kind of fixes that is another drink. And that’s where ‘One More Shot’ comes in.”

Webb admits he was hesitant to release something so personal—but after sharing the song with others who were struggling, he knew it had to come out.

“I was a little iffy on it, but I played it for a few people dealing with the same thing. They were like, ‘Nah man, you gotta put this out.’ It’s stripped, it’s acoustic, it’s raw… probably the realest thing I’ve ever wrote.”

The message is clear: “Just that they’re not alone,” Webb says of what he hopes listeners take away. “I felt alone when I was dealing with alcohol struggles. Maybe if they play this song, they’re like, ‘Man, somebody else has went through the same thing.’”

While “One More Shot” might be the emotional cornerstone, Where To Find Me is a dynamic mix of vulnerability, anthemic moments, and Webb’s signature “country-trap” vibe. From the wine-soaked chaos of “Worst Behavior” to the powerful plea of “Love Me Tonight,” Webb lays it all out.

“This album is my favorite music I’ve ever put out,” he tells us. “Everything is elevated—production, lyrics, everything. We got a lot of bangers, but it sets the tone for a new chapter. A new page.”

Much of the inspiration comes from his own upbringing — moving through 28 homes before adulthood, surviving abuse, and finding his way through faith and songwriting.

“The 28th home was the worst,” Webb shares. “That was when I had an abusive stepdad… he told me every day, ‘You’re never gonna make it.’ That just pushed me more. I was like, I’m gonna prove this dude wrong and get my mom out of this situation.”

Webb is no stranger to the road. After supporting artists like Chase Matthew and Kolby Cooper and wrapping his first two headlining tours, he’s now hitting the stage again for his Where To Find Me Tour, a 25-stop run across the U.S.

“It’ll be the biggest and best yet,” he promises. “Anything we saw that could’ve been better on the last run, we’ve leveled it up. It’s gonna be a party.”

But it’s not just about high-energy performances—it’s about building community.

“I like it to feel like a friend group,” Webb explains. “I wanted that when I used to go to shows. And I feel like I’ve created that now. It just feels like family when we’re on the road.”

For someone whose sound blends country nostalgia with modern vulnerability, Webb isn’t interested in chasing trends—he’s telling his truth.

“You’ll find your place as an artist,” he says, reflecting on his younger self. “The more you do it, the better you’ll get. There were times I really wanted to quit, but I didn’t. And that made all the difference.”

With Where To Find Me out now, “One More Shot” tugging at hearts across the country, and his biggest tour yet kicking off, Jay Webb is living proof that country music has room for the unfiltered, the unorthodox, and the undeniably real.
