Happy Friday!! Today (November 7th) is full of new music that we are absolutely loving.
For the first time in 10 years, Hilary Duff is back in her singing era. Her new must-listen single “Mature,” brings the upbeat pop sounds we have been missing, and it’s a track that reflects back on Duff’s younger years.
“‘Mature’ is a little conversation that my present self is having with my younger self,” says Duff in a statement. “The two of us are reflecting on a past experience and sending love to each other. It’s a chuckle, a wink, and a sense of being grateful that we are sure footed in where we landed.”
Along with the single, Hilary released a music video directed by Lauren Dunn. In the video, she gets ready at her vanity before performing on stage in a gold sparkly dress. With lyrics like: “She looks like she could be your daughter / Like me before I got smarter,” and “Going down on her on your vintage rug / Bet she’s so impressed by your Basquiat,” Duff showcases her growth over the years.
She co-wrote the song with her Grammy-winning songwriter/producer husband Matthew Koma and songwriter Madison Love.
The release of the song also comes after the recent announcement of Duff’s upcoming docuseries, which will follow her return to music and show her life behind the scenes. Fans will get to see her balance family, recording sessions, and rehearsals as she gets ready to perform live again.

But Duff isn’t the only one delivering new music this week. This week also brings exciting new projects, including YEONJUN’s NO LABELS: PART 0, Train’s Christmas in Tahoe (10th Anniversary Edition), BENEE’s Ur An Angel I’m Just Particles, FIFTY FIFTY’s Too Much Part 1, and Kings of Leon’s EP #2.
Big-name artists such as Kelsea Ballerini, will.i.am, Sexyy Red, and Coco Jones are also keeping the hits coming. PLUS, brand new collaborations from Leon Bridges and Norah Jones’ “This Christmas I’m Coming Home,” Illenium and Ryan Tedder’s “With Your Love,” and will.i.am and Taboo’s “We LA (East LA Remix).”
But it’s not just the chart-toppers stealing the spotlight — newcomers are stepping up in a big way, with rising stars like 3Quency, Chelsea Jordan, Marfa, Alana Hil, and Sabrina Sterling.
