It hasn’t even been 24 hours and we already have Madeline Consoer‘s debut EP, Little Miss, on repeat!
After making waves on Season 19 of The Voice, fans have been anxiously awaiting this release for years, and everyone is THRILLED to finally have this five-track project available to stream on all platforms.
Produced by Jerry Alan Jacobs and consisting of “Little Miss,” “Running Into a Heartbreak,” “Heaven,” “Love Me Like That” and “Drinking To You,” the project is said to touch on every emotion in the book, all while showing listeners who Madeline Consoer truly is as both an artist AND a person.

When it comes to the name Little Miss, it came to Consoer VERY easily. “When we cut the demo, I knew right then and there that [Little Miss] had to be the name of the EP,” she said.
“I put these songs together because I really think it shows who I am as an artist and what I went through these last few years in my personal life,” she added. “I just want my listeners to really know who I am artistically, but also on a personal level.”
Lucky for her, fans are already buzzing about how Little Miss exemplifies exactly that! It’s authentic, unique and 100% Madeline Consoer.

Celeb Secrets: For people who may not know you yet, can you explain your musical style and a little bit about who you are as an artist?
Madeline Consoer: “I grew up listening to a little bit of every genre, and I think you can tell when you listen to my music. I’m inspired by so many different artists, and I love to mix and match different sounds in each song. I just love to create something that can connect with people…So whether that be a country-pop song, or a more country-rock one, it makes me ecstatic to make someone feel something with what I’ve created.”
CS: You were on The Voice in 2020 and made it all the way to the live shows! What have you been up to since the show ended?
MC: “After The Voice, I basically put my head down and got work. I continued to write songs and release them until I really honed in on a sound. I think within this last year, with playing out on the road more and writing with some of the same people, I’ve really had the chance to come into my own and who I am as an artist. 2022 came with a lot of discovery, and I can’t wait to see what 2023 brings!”
CS: Your debut EP Little Miss came out TODAY (December 16th)! How does it feel knowing that you now have even more original music out in the world?
MC: “I am so excited! I am so proud of each one of these songs. I also feel like time FLEW. It seems like it was just yesterday I went to Jerry Jacobs and asked if he wanted to work on this project with me. He took all my ideas and ran with them. We made this record all over the place: in Jerry’s studio, at The Green Room in Knoxville, on the road between shows… literally everywhere. I can’t wait to hear what people think of these songs because we truly put our heart and soul into them.”
CS: Can you tell us a little bit about the meaning/story behind the EP?
MC: “The title track was actually chosen in the middle of the process of compiling the songs for this project. When we cut the demo, I knew right then and there that it had to be the name of the EP. I put these songs together because I really think it shows who I am as an artist and what I went through these last few years in my personal life. I, of course, have had many a heartbreak, but I’ve recently gotten lucky enough to experience love, and it’s beautiful, and I had to write about it. There’s also a song that touches on the challenges of loving yourself, and I think that’s a very relatable thing for a lot of people. I just want my listeners to really know who I am artistically, but also on a personal level.”
CS: What is your favorite song on Little Miss and why?
MC: “I can’t pick just one! I’m most proud of ‘Little Miss,’ I think. The sound is something I’ve never done before, and I love the fact that it’s so rock and roll. There was definitely a lot of back and forth on whether it was too rock or not (just ask Jerry, I needed some convincing!), but ultimately I’m extremely happy with how it turned out. It’s my favorite song to do live, and I think the sassy nature of it really relates to the crowd and listeners.”

CS: Is there a certain lyric within this EP that you’re especially proud of?
MC: “My favorite lyric is actually one I didn’t write. ‘Love me Like That’ is an outside cut from Taylor Acorn, Emma Lynn White, and Dan Swank. When Emma sent me the song, I immediately started crying. I connected so well to the song. ‘I wish I could love me like you do, let all my flaws fade away, have a breakthrough.’ That thought has literally crossed my mind before, and when I heard the song, I knew I wanted to sing it.”
CS: What does the process look like when you create a song? Are there any quirks to your method?
MC: “I think what helps me write a song is I always picture the music video in my head as we progress through the story. It helps me picture what idea should come next and where we want to go with the story.”
CS: Who/What are some of your musical inspirations either artist-wise or in your personal life?
MC: “My favorite artist is absolutely Shania Twain. She championed the way for females in country music and I look up to her with everything that I do. She did things her own way, and bent the genre however she wanted to, and that’s exactly what I want to do with my career.”
CS: Who is your dream collaboration?
MC: “Well, definitely Shania Twain that would be insane.”
CS: Aside from making new music, you’ve been on the road with Chase McDaniel! How has that experience been so far?
MC: “I love being on the road with Chase! I feel like it’s such a special show because we write together all the time (I wrote 3 of the songs on the EP with him), and we’re such good friends… It makes it so fun to be on the road with all your favorite people. I also go up and sing another song with him during his set that we haven’t released yet, but I definitely feel the love up there. He’s such a humble artist and I feel lucky to share the stage with him.”
CS: What is your favorite gig you’ve played?
MC: “My favorite gig of all time was at Joe’s on Weed St. in Chicago opening up for Chase. The crowd was insane and the vibes were just incredible. I will never forget that show.”
CS: Can we expect any solo shows in the near future?
MC: “I hope so! That’s definitely what we’re working towards!”
CS: Do you have any goals for yourself in 2023 career-wise?
MC: “I definitely want to be able to get on a few more tours next year. I love playing live and meeting everyone face-to-face. I also want to keep writing and releasing new music. Another EP could be in the works, but we’ll see where my career goes in the next few months!”
CS: Lastly, since we are Celeb Secrets, do you have any secrets about either yourself or your music that fans might not know?
MC: “Everyone wants to know who ‘Little Miss’ is about. I’ll take it with me to the grave, BUT, I definitely think she knows it’s about her… that’s it.”
