Here’s Everything You Missed from Prime Video’s Inaugural ‘Obsessed Fest’ with the Casts of “Off Campus,” “The Love Hypothesis,” “Overcompensating” & More

If you weren’t in Los Angeles this past weekend, we hope you were tuning into the TikTok livestream, because Prime Video’s inaugural Obsessed Fest just completely redefined what it means to be a fan. It was a literal paradise for YA book-to-screen girlies, and honestly? We are still screaming.

From massive casting drops to literal pop royalty crashing the stage, the immersive fan experience was giving pure, unadulterated adrenaline.

Just when the crowd was getting pumped for the Off Campus panel, mega-star Jennifer Lopez casually walked out. Not only did she perform her new single “Everything’s Fine,” but she also blessed everyone with her 2011 classic “On the Floor” —which has been having a massive viral resurgence thanks to the show.

Speaking of Off Campus, the cast (Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli, Mika Abdalla, Stephen Kalyn, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Antonio Cipriano, and Josh Heuston) along with creator Louisa Levy took home the official IMDb “Fan Favorite Ensemble” STARmeter Award. Considering the show is the #1 series in the US on Prime Video right now, the math is totally mathing.

“People see themselves in the characters, and it’s so cool to be a part of something like that… It’s an important show, it’s an honor to be a part of,” Cipriano said.

The main stage panels were giving back-to-back serotonin boosts, packed with major announcements that live rent-free in our minds.

Prime Video officially debuted the exclusive first teaser for The Love Hypothesis, and star Lili Reinhart opened up about her instant connection to the script, noting how much fun it was to play the charmingly opposite dynamic between Olive and Adam.

“I just really fell in love with Olive and Adam as I read the script and as I read the book. I thought they were so charming,” Lili said at the panel. “It’s not exactly an enemies to lovers trope because they’re never quite enemies, they’re just extremely opposite and that was obviously fun to play.”

Meanwhile, Carley Fortune fans received the ultimate gift with a surprise Season 2 pickup for Every Year After, which will expand the universe into her second bestselling novel, One Golden Summer.

Cast member Matt Cornett admitted to the crowd that he cried multiple times reading the book, which is huge for someone who never cries.

“When I read the book after I got the show, it was weird to read this book and envision myself as this guy in this world. But I read the book and cried many times. If you know me I don’t cry,” Cornett shared.

We also learned that the final season of Maxton Hall is officially launching this December, complete with new yearbook image drops, and Benito Skinner revealed that Grammy winner Zedd is set to guest star in a Spring Break episode for Overcompensating. Owen Thiele hilariously teased that Benito’s writing includes a lot of pining — pining while nude, of course.

Beyond the major screen reveals, the fashion on the red carpet didn’t just walk, it completely served.

Lili Reinhart looked like an absolute ethereal dream in a custom Cult Gaia gown. The bespoke, layered chiffon dress was heavily inspired by the effortless femininity of the ’90s and early 2000s, featuring a corseted bodice, a high slit, and a subtle train.

The ultimate detail was a custom brass dandelion at the shoulder strap, bringing that signature sculptural elegance Cult Gaia is known for.

Not to be outdone, Off Campus star Ella Bright proved that elevated, everyday jewelry is always the perfect finishing touch. She accessorized her look with Mejuri’s new Steel Gia Drop Earrings ($148), the Classic Duo Ring in Gold ($598), and a gorgeous Blue Topaz pinky ring ($698).

When fans weren’t busy swooning over panels or shopping Ella’s exact Mejuri pieces, they were vibing out in the Amazon Music Lounge. Asha Banks blessed everyone with a gorgeous acoustic set featuring songs from Your Fault: London, while indie-rock icons The Beaches made a surprise appearance to play their viral track “Edge of the Earth.”

After seeing what went down at Obsessed Fest this year, its safe to say that our screens are about to be absolutely booked and busy for the rest of the year, and our watchlists have never looked better. Prime Video officially understood the assignment, gave the girlies exactly what they wanted, and left no crumbs.
