Sugar, spice, and everything nice! The Chemical X ingredient has been added into the recipe and the Powerpuff Girls have been born!
Blossom (Chloe Bennet), Bubbles (Dove Cameron), and Buttercup (Yana Perrault) were spotted filming The CW live-action series in Atlanta, GA, giving us a first look at the superhero sisters being brought to life. The girls were spotted sporting the iconic red, blue, and green dresses adorned with their white knee-high socks, Bubbles’ cute pigtails, and Blossom’s signature hair bow.
After The CW announced the leading ladies last month, fans have been more hyped up than ever, excited to see Bennet, Cameron, and Perrault take on the roles of the super sisters that ruled our childhood.
The girls are just as excited as well! Each of the girls posted their own little preview of the series on their Instagrams.
Bennet uploaded a video rocking the red hair look with the caption, “A female, asian, red headed, superhero (again),” Cameron posted a photo of her trailer in a photo series with the caption, “here we gooo 🛁 💥🧪🧬🧸⚗️💣🔪🍭✨👑💅🏻👽”, and Perrault took to Instagram stories to talk about being on a TV set for the first time and expressing her excitement for the series and gratitude for the girls and the rest of the crew.
There’s no word on the official date release of the series yet, but just seeing these photos gives us major nostalgia and we’re so excited for what’s to come!
