Fiyero – Orginated by Norbert Leo Butz
A cute boy lacking some brains, Fiyero is a source of competition for Elphaba and Glinda, though his character develops over time. Norbert Leo Butz played him in the original company and is now known for his main role as Kevin Rayburn in Netflix’s Bloodline. Onstage, he won the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Lead Actor in a Musical twice for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels in 2005 and Catch Me if You Can in 2011.
The obvious choice – and most perfect depending on what age range they go for – would be Jordan Fisher. The former Disney Channel star has proven his singing and dancing talents in Teen Beach Movie, Grease: Live and Rent: Live. He’s also currently the only person to star in both Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway.
Originating the roles Fisher later played in Hamilton, Anthony Ramos is about to have his moment as the lead in Chu’s In the Heights. He has the charisma to play Fiyero and the ability to handle both the carefree and serious moments. Plus, Fiyero’s known for his tight pants and Ramos’ current Calvin Klein campaign should be enough to convince you that he would fill those well.
If the producers looking for a big name, Harry Styles is the way to go. He’s already started proving his acting chops and has a slew of upcoming movies already slated. Plus, we know he has the vocals and sexual appeal to take on Shiz’s resident bad boy.
