According to Rave Reviews, Here’s the Top Rated TV Show in the US

While some TV shows may be universal, there are some internationally beloved shows that may never appear on your radar.. The experts at Rave Reviews just released a list of The World’s Favorite TV Shows, broken down by continent and country. Analyzing data from IMDb, the experts tabulated user ratings and number of ratings to calculate each country’s favorite show. This diverse collection of TV shows is sure to be an eye-opener.

With a 9.5 rating on IMDb, the top-rated show in the US is Breaking Bad, which follows a high school chemistry teacher diagnosed with lung cancer who turns to manufacturing and selling methamphetamine to secure his family’s future. Breaking Bad has a 9.5 rating on IMDb. In the United Kingdom, Sherlock takes the top spot with a 9.1 rating. Sherlock is a modern retelling of the famous sleuth and his doctor partner solving crime in 21st century London.

The show with the overall top rating is from Sri Lanka. Koombiyo (Ants) is a drama about a homeless man who gets caught up in the world of organized crime. Koombiyo has a 9.8 rating on IMDb, but its future is in doubt as the show’s main writer has mysteriously gone missing.
