Legendary Dominican baseball player Albert Pujols has had an incredible final season of his career, including passing Alex Rodriguez and becoming the fourth all-time leader in home runs, and tying Babe Ruth for the second most RBIs in MLB history during his final regular season game at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals would lose the contest 7-5 against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Pujols would hit a two-RBI ground-rule double in the bottom of the first inning to give the Cardinals an early 2-0 lead.

He would then follow up the double with career home run 702 in the bottom of the third inning to tie the game at four and tie Babe Ruth’s RBI record; that historic home run would end up being his final regular season at-bat in Busch Stadium.

Pujols has had a tremendous final season in which he re-signed with the team he dominated with during the early part of his career and won a World Series with in 2011.
Pujols and the Cardinals will look to bring another World Series title to St. Louis as they clinched the number three seed in the National League after winning their division. Although this final season for Pujols and Cardinals fans has already been filled with unforgettable moments, to cap it off with a World Series win would truly be a storybook ending to such an iconic career.
