Alec and Hilaria Balwin Announce They Are Expecting Baby Number Seven

Alec Baldwin’s family just keeps growing, as a seventh child is on the way.

Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria Thomas Baldwin, shared the couple is expecting on social media on Tuesday (March 29) with a video of the family showing their six children’s excitement about the news.

Alec reposted the video with the caption, “A repost from my wife, @hilariabaldwin.

Hilaria captioned the video, “After many ups and downs over the past few years, we have an exciting up and a huge surprise: another Baldwinito is coming this fall 💛.”

She added, “We were pretty sure our family was complete, and we’re beyond happy with this surprise. I’m sharing with you the moment we told the kids—as you can see, they are super excited! Our new baby is a very bright spot in our lives. A blessing and a gift during such uncertain times. I’ve missed you during my break from social media…I’m back and looking forward to continuing with you this wild journey that we call “life.” Our love to you and your loved ones ❤️.”

The children Hilaria shares with the actor are 8-year-old Carmen, 6-year-old Rafael, 5-year-old Leonardo, and 3-year-old Romeo. Their last creations were the 1-year-olds Eduardo and Lucía. This would be Alec’s eighth child, since he shares his 26-year-old daughter Ireland, with his ex-wife, the actress, former fashion model, and singer Kim Basinger.

The 38-year-old’s daughter died at 4-months at the end of 2019. Around March 2021, they welcomed their daughter María Lucía Victoria but did not put how or who delivered their child. She simply shared a post and a long caption, thanking “very special angels who helped” bring their daughter “into the world.”

“Our hearts are filled with so much gratitude. The Baldwinitos craved so much to have a little sister. Many of you may remember the loss of their sister at 4 months in the end of 2019. There isn’t a day that goes by where we don’t ache for our daughter. When I found out our baby had died, I told our children that their sister was going to come, just not at that time. Nothing will ever replace her, but two wonderful souls have come into our lives, and we are humbled to know them. Our children were brave during our time of tremendous grief—braver than us…and they held out hope. To experience and accept life’s ups and downs is challenging, but a reality that all of us have no choice but to receive and process. I have learned that often our children are wiser than we are and their wisdom has guided us. Our rainbow baby, Edu, is such a blessing—we are overwhelmed by how fortunate we are to have him. We are living each day, bonding, and grateful for all of the very special angels who helped bring Lucía into the world. María Lucía Victoria and Eduardo Pau Lucas: our babies who bring light into our lives—almost like twins, we love you so much.”
