Alicia Keys Covers ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)’ With 10-Year-Old Son

Alicia Keys is sharing an adorable music moment while stuck indoors with her 10-year-old son.

In the short yet sweet Instagram clip that runs just under two minutes, Egypt Daoud Dean takes the lead by playing piano and singing main vocals. Then, the world-renowned singer/songwriter chimes in to enhance the performance as she hits a few notes in the background.

To keep things classy, the mother-son duo decided to cover the Eurythmics’ original “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)” while giving it their own family twist. Both performers do an outstanding job when it comes to hitting all the right keys amid their performance, so it’s really no surprise they’ve already garnered close to one million views.

With a rugged camera frame filter, the video clearly conveys a vintage ‘we made this at home’ feel which engages the audience even more for its authenticity. Plus, who knows how to resist a heart-warming family moment that pulls us into the life of an iconic celeb? We sure don’t!

Keys praises her son’s extraordinary talent in the caption that complements the at-home footage. “I love being a part of his practice and I love being his background singer! He is making magic,” she reveals to over 20-million followers—and the fans couldn’t agree more. The comments are flooded with red hearts and positive reinforcements for the young performer.

Could this be Egypt’s big breakthrough in the music industry? The clip has earned attention from a long list of verified Instagrammers including rapper Busta Rhymes, actress Tabitha Brown, model Naomi Campbell and many more. Naturally, we just can’t help but wonder if this star-studded line-up is indicative of Egypt’s future.

Although it remains unknown if Egypt intends to follow his mother’s footsteps into the limelight, we can confidently conclude he has what it takes to succeed as a musician!
