Anamaria Ferentz is gearing up for the holiday season with a new original song, and it’s definitely at the top of our must-listen list this year.
The Romanian singer/songwriter just dropped her new single “Christmas Is Near,” which is all about being around the people you love during the holidays.
“Christmas is my favorite season and [the song] is all about being around the people you love and having that someone special. No one should be alone when Christmas is near,” Ferentz tells Celeb Secrets.
With less than six weeks until the big day, Ferentz will be packing in as many performances as she can before winding down and spending time with her friends and family, similar to what she describes in her upbeat holiday original.
While the song is out now for all to enjoy, the award-winning, multi-talented artist filmed a festive visual for the track, which you can preview only here on Celeb Secrets until November 24th.
For those who don’t know, Anamaria Ferentz is an award-winning Romanian singer, songwriter, artist and actress with a true creative gifted soul. Born in the height of the Christmas season in Bacău, Romania, Ferentz possessed a deep passion for music the minute she was born and was inspired by artists like Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, George Michael, and Queen, with more contemporary muses like Sia, Bruno Mars, Marc Anthony and Eminem in present day. Her mother recalls every time Anamaria heard music she started moving her body feverishly to the beat.
In 2001, Anamaria joined forces with two talented musicians, George Calin and Silviu Duduta forming the dance group DEMMO. Together, they released four albums: Ding, Dang, Dong, Pentru Inima Ta, Trei, and Cantecul Meu, which achieved renowned success and popularity internationally.
Eight years later, Anamaria launched her debut solo album Fresh under the initials of her name, AMF. In the same year, she appeared in The Concert, which earned several international awards, including a Golden Globe nod in the foreign film category in 2011.
As a solo artist, Anamaria has been honored with various music awards, acknowledging her popularity and excellence in the Romanian music scene. She has also appeared on popular TV shows, including Dancing with the Stars showcasing her diverse talents. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in music pedagogy and has explored other artistic endeavors including writing and painting. She’s even published a children’s book titled “Oscar, Minunatul Meu Catel,” which earned her a “Little Trophy” award in 2006.
