Andrew Garfield Wants to Film More Spider-Man Movies with Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland

Our “spidey senses” are tingling and not simply alerting us for danger!

Sony and Marvel’s third film Spider-Man: No Way Home was one of the most anticipated films to be released in the past year. From fans fighting over movie tickets to Andrew Garfield revealing he kept his appearance in the film a secret from his ex Emma Stone, we loved to see the three generations of Spider-Mans unite for one film.

We know we weren’t the only ones who were obsessed with the fact that the Spider-Man franchise brought together Tobey Maguire, who played the first Peter Parker, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland together for that epic scene. Garfield shared his excitement after being part of the third Spider-man film, with Variety reporting that Garfield told the Happy Sad Confused” Podcast he was “eager” to work on more films with his co-stars.

“In terms of moving forward with the character, yes I am definitely open to that,” Garfield said. “Again it would have to be something very unique, very special and serving to an audience and in service of the character. There’s something playful and unique and odd and unexpected to be done. I’m not sure what is but if we can figure it out it would be so much fun.”

Garfield built a nice relationship with his co-stars and hopes another film comes soon.

“I would love to continue working with Tobey [Maguire] and with Tom [Holland],” Garfield continued. “That kind of three brother dynamic is so juicy.”

In addition to talking about his co-stars, Garfield revealed a huge behind-the-scenes secret from making the film. The 38-year-old actor shared that Zendaya was actually the mastermind behind that epic bread-throwing scene, which if you’ve seen the movie, can’t help but laugh while watching it.

“At first, Zendaya picks up a candlestick or something to like threaten me within that first scene where I come in, but then there was this basket of bread,” Andrew explained. “That was her just going, ‘Can I just throw bread at him?’ and [director] Jon [Watts] was like, ‘Yeah, throw bread at him.'”

Garfield also shared the scene felt like “kids just playing.”

Spider-Man fans around the world were thrilled to see the movie in theaters last year on Dec. 17 and it showed after tickets sold out quickly. The domestic box office revealed it had become one of the highest-ranking films with a $704 Million gross income and counting.

Spiderman: No Way Home continues to play in theaters nationwide. First releasing on December 17, 2021, the film has become one of the highest-ranking flicks with a $704 million gross income and counting.
