Ariana Grande is diving into the world of video games!
On Sunday (August 1), the pop star announced that she would be headlining the Rift Tour from August 6-8 in the video game Fortnite. On the game’s website, it says that the live virtual concerts will take viewers on “a musical journey into magical new realities.” Previous headliners for the Rift Tour include Marshmello, Dominic Fike, and Travis Scott.
Not only will Fortnite players be able to watch the shows, but they can purchase an exclusive Icon Series skin that is inspired by one of Grande’s signature looks. The skin will include a backpack inspired by her pet pig called Piggy Smallz Back Bling.
Players can even partner up with friends while attending the shows, which makes it easier to schedule shows at the same time. Before the Rift Tour begins, they will also have the chance to participate in “Fortnite-themed experiences — pairing popular tracks with moments based on elements from the game.”

On the collaboration, Grande said, “Working with Epic and the Fortnite team to bring my music to life inside the game has been so fun and such an honor. I can’t wait to join my fans and see all of your reactions to such an unforgettable, magical journey to new realities.”
There are five shows that players can select from in between August 6 and 8. Fortnite recommends having your game updated before attending and loading it up an hour before the scheduled showtime.
