Created and inspired by choreographer Phil Wright’s “The Parent Jam” classes, Disney Fam Jam features two families with kids hitting the floor to see which will be crowned “Disney Fam Jam” champions. At the end of each episode, the studio audience votes for their favorite dance family, resulting in the winners taking home a $10,000 prize along with a “Disney Fam Jam” trophy.
“What I love about being a host [on Fam Jam] is you get to be yourself,” Tordjman tells Celeb Secrets. “I just like to get acquainted with my space, who I’m hosting with and the families that are on the show just so I can be connected with everyone. It’s just about having fun. Channeling that through your hosting is what I feel like hosting is all about, so I really just try my best to have a good time and be open and go with the flow. This is a live show and whatever comes to you you go with, which makes it super exciting.”
“My favorite part is being able to connect with the families,” Martin adds. “These people are real and their stories are real, so I love going in beforehand to meet them. They give us their rehearsal videos, tell us what they’ve been up to, and share some of their stories. And it means a lot to me to see what they wanna overcome and achieve on Fam Jam, and seeing them actually do it is really touching and inspiring.”
