Warm weather is finally upon us, and our fav Bachelor and Bachelorette alums are ready to head to paradise to find love. And with Bachelor in Paradise filming quickly approaching, Bachelor Nation is curious as to who will be making their way to the sandy beaches of Mexico in the coming weeks.
One particular contestant that’s on everyone’s radar is Blake Moynes. He’s been trying to find love for the last two years, starting off on Clare Crawley’s season, then making his way to Tayshia Adams’ season. When his second shot at love didn’t work out, he went for a third time (because, third times the charm, right?) and he ended up getting engaged to Katie Thurston.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t all roses for the couple because they ended up calling off the engagement a couple months later.
So now that single Blake is back on the town, will he try his hand at love for a fourth time on BIP?
“I’ve taken a step back, focusing on wildlife conservation stuff and my work trips,” Moynes told Celeb Secrets reporter Blakely McHugh exclusively on the red carpet for iHeartRadio’s KIIS FM Wango Tango on Saturday (June 4). “Then the girl will come when she’s ready.”
He added, “[That’s] exactly why I’m not going on [Paradise].”
There has been lots of speculation about whether or not The Bachelorette alum would return to TV screens after he teased the possibility of it on his Instagram Stories.
Back in March, the 31-year-old posted a Q&A where a fan asked him if he’d be open to going back on another reality TV show. He wrote, “Duh, Paradise! Can’t wait to get back on that beach!”
But clearly, that’s not the case.
“I’m always sarcastic and at the same time we like to tease, we like to keep people talking about it. Some people would love to see me and other people would hate to see me there.”
He said going to the beach this year would be too much considering his separation from his now ex-fiancé happened in November and she quickly moved on with his co-star John Hersey.
“Too much, too quick and I’m just not there with this,” he said pointing to his heart.
Instead, he’s focusing on what’s bringing himself joy and fulfillment– wildlife conservation.
He headed to the Bahamas with fellow contestants Zac Clark and Noah Erb on Monday (June 6) to raise awareness about sharks.
He says they’ll be filming the whole trip, looking for a critically endangered sawfish and sharing why ocean health is important to humanity.
Out of all the trips he has lined up for the year, this one is the one he’s most looking forward to.
“I’m bringing two big personalities with me so we can extend the reach, and really get it out there what’s important.”
Apparently, more TV show personalities from different shows will be joining him on his other wildlife conservation trips, but he won’t tell us who just yet. We’ll have to wait another month or so for that answer.
The animal lover hasn’t completely given up on love, though. He says maybe there’s love for him in 2023, but this year about taking care of himself.
“It’s all about me. Let’s be a little bit selfish,” Moynes said. “When you focus on yourself and you least expect it, that’s when love comes.”
