Baekhyun’s 3rd Mini Album ‘Bambi’ Is Finally Out and We Ranked Each Song

Baekhyun’s highly anticipated 3rd mini-album, Bambi, finally dropped and we are absolutely loving the sexy, sultry, R&B vibes he’s serving us on all the songs.

Bambi is the follow up on his 2020 release, Delight, and is filled with six love-inspired songs, including previously released “Amusement Park” and the title track “Bambi.”

While “Amusement Park” shows off the Korean singer’s soft and sweet vocals, with a melodious piano tune to match, “Bambi” falls on the other side of the spectrum. It has a darker and groovier tone which gives Baekhyun the perfect chance to belt his signature high notes.

Although we may be inclined to immediately think Baekhyun is referring to Disney’s beloved deer character, Bambi carries a second meaning in Korean, which translates to night rain.

“It can be seen as a night rain or the deer character. I feel that it’s interesting how you can feel the difference between the two meanings of Bambi,” Baekhyun shared in an interview. “I also focus a lot on how to portray that difference with my pronunciation or tone.”

This helps make more sense of the song as well as its music video, where we see Baekhyun clad in an all-black leather fit while taking a rainy night train ride.

The other four b-tracks of the album follow the same theme of the album and illustrate different aspects of love. “Love Scene” and “All I Got” both describe the process of falling in love and the romantic side of a relationship. Baekhyun shares his sensitive side in “Privacy” and wanting to keep his relationship to himself. He ends the album talking about dealing with one’s emotions after a break-up in “Cry For Love.”

Bambi has already sold nearly 750,000 units on the first day of release, according to the Hanteo Chart, breaking the record for the highest first-day sales for a soloist in the chart’s history. With this, Baekhyun breaks his own record of 626,000 sales held by Delight.

This album is also extra special as it’s the artist’s parting gift to his fans before he fulfills his mandatory military duties. Baekhyun announced during an Instagram live that he’d be enlisting into South Korea’s military service next month.

Now though we’re certain this ranking will change after we continuously have this album on repeat. Here is our ranking of the songs from Bambi, from ultimate best to very best (we really can’t pick).

Bambi – Baekhyun: Track Ranking

  1. All I Got
