Bailee Madison is getting her Cinderella moment but it looks like she’ll be swapping the glass slippers for some cowgirl boots.
A Cinderella Story: Starstruck stars Madison and All American’s Michael Evans Behling and will be released on digital on June 29 and on DVD on July 13.
This new installment of the Cinderella Story series takes place in small-town Dreary, Idaho, and follows Finley Tremaine (Madison) as she longs to spread her wings and fly as an aspiring performer. To her luck, a Hollywood crew arrives in her town and she’s determined to land a role in the production, especially to get the attention of the handsome star, Jackson Stone (Behling). But of course, not all things go as planned. Finley messes up her audition and ends up disguising herself as cowboy “Huck,” confidently landing the role. The only question is, can she keep this secret? Especially from her evil stepmom and step-siblings?
Other featured actors include April Telek (Chris Watts: Confession of a Killer) as the cruel stepmother and Lillian Doucet-Roche (A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish) and Richard Harmon (The 100) as the devious step-siblings, Saffron and Kale.
A Cinderella Story: Starstruck is the sixth movie to follow the Cinderella trope, coming after the last two installments A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish starring Laura Marano and A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits starring Sofia Carson. Other titles include A Cinderella Story starring Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray, Another Cinderella Story starring Selena Gomez and Drew Seeley, and A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song starring Lucy Hale.
