It has been a long wait, as Season 1 of the show was released on February 24, 2021. The wait is over, and fans are very excited to see Ginny, Georgia, Austin, and the rest of the gang back on their screens.
The show will be bringing back its core crew as the actresses whose characters are in the title of the show, Antonia Gentry and Brianne Howey, are set to reprise their roles as Ginny & Georgia; Diesel La Torraca will be returning as Austin, Katie Douglas as Abby, Sara Waisglass as Maxine, Scott Porter as Paul, Felix Mallard as Marcus, and Jennifer Robertson as Ellen.
The show revolves around the lives of Georgia Miller and her daughter Ginny. Georgia has had a very traumatizing life from childhood to adulthood and has always moved from state to state to avoid situations and start a new life in a new place where no one has any prior knowledge of her.
As for Ginny, she is a high-school student trying to navigate relationships with boys as well as trying to handle her family drama at the same time. Georgia and Ginny have a very up-and-down type of relationship, as Ginny has little to no trust in her mother.
Towards the end of season one, Ginny’s father Zion (played by Nathan Mitchell) enters the picture and is back in the lives of Ginny & Georgia; Zion then attempts to rekindle things with Georgia, but she has started a romantic relationship with Mayor Paul Randolph.
The finale features Ginny and her little brother Austin leaving home, while Georgia is on a date with Paul.
The show also dropped a scene from the upcoming season, and it has fans going wild. It shows Georgia coming home from her date with Paul, and returning to her kids being gone.
