One Word… Beyoncé

There’s no better way to start off an award show than with Beyoncé. The Grammy-award-winning singer kicked off the night with a performance of her song “Be Alive” from the film, King Richard.

King Richard is a film about Serena and Venus Williams’ dad. Because of this, the singer decided to perform at a stage set in the city of Compton where the girls grew up. Beyoncé looked ethereal in a neon lime green outfit that matched the all neon set.

The 40-year-old was accompanied by a full band and set of dancers. Her stunning vocals were the central focus as she belted out the song.

Her daughter, Blue Ivy, did make a small cameo at the end of the performance where she sat just in front of her mom as she finished singing.
