Billie Eilish Made History At the 2022 Oscars

Billie Eilish has officially made history!

Yesterday (March 27), the 20-year-old singer won Best Original Song at the 2022 Oscars for her song “No Time To To Die” which she created for the latest film in the James Bond Series.

“You guys… oh my gosh this is so unbelievable I could scream. Thank you to our 007 family,” Eilish said, giving shoutouts to people such as Barbara Broccoli, Daniel Craig, Cary Joji Fukunaga and Hans Zimmer.

After thanking their team, the brother and sister duo thanked their parents noting that they have “always been our biggest inspirations and our heroes. We love you as parents and we love you as real people, too.”

Although winning an Oscar is a big deal, Eilish is now the youngest artist to win three big awards, an Emmy, a Grammy and a Golden Globe, for the same song.

This isn’t the singer’s first time breaking a record. When the song came out in 2020, Eilish also became the youngest person to write a theme song for the James Bond franchise, which is a goal she and her brother FINNEAS have had for a long time.

“For years and years, way before this was even like any sort of possibility in the slightest at all… we would sit down and write Bond songs. We would role play writing a Bond song, and we would constantly tell our team, ‘If there’s any opportunity in the future…'” the singer told E! News.
