“Isn’t it lovely…” Billie Eilish just surprised fans by dropping two new songs!
This morning (July 21), Eilish shared on social media a link to, “Guitar Songs,” which had the two new songs, “TV” and “The 30th.”
The Grammy Award winner shared in a newsletter sent out to fans, “finneas and i really wanted these to be yours as soon as possible, so here they are!!,” she continued, “hope you love the songs and thank you for letting us share our music with you. 🤍”
Fans may recognize “TV,” as the singer and her brother Finneas O’Connell had given them a little preview of the song in the UK on her Happier Than Ever World Tour. In her newsletter, she revealed she took the audio of the crowd singing the song back to her and put it on the track. Eilish shared, “i get shivers every time i hear it.”

Both songs showcase more of Eilish’s raw vocals against an acoustic guitar. Eilish reflects on her own life as well as society as she sings about certain topics like Roe v. Wade and love.
“The 30th” seems to be more personal to Eilish. The “Happier Than Ever” singer revealed in an interview with Apple Music, “It’s called ‘The 30th’ because something happened on November 30, and it had been the most indescribable thing to have witnessed and experienced.”
Although Eilish never reveals what happened in the interview, the song seems to be talking about someone she cares about getting in a car accident.
“TV” and “The 30th” are Eilish’s first new music fans have heard since her album, Happier Than Ever, was released almost a year ago.
