BLACKPINK just reached a new milestone and surpassed 60 million YouTube subscribers!
The South Korean girl group passed the milestone today (April 13) at 6 am KST according to their agency, YG Entertainment. This marks BLACKPINK as having the biggest YouTube account in South Korea as well as being the most subscribed female artists on the platform.
Along with that, BLACKPINK becomes the second-most subscribed artist on YouTube globally, only coming after Canadian singer Justin Bieber, who has 62.2 million subscribers.
Back in July, BLACKPINK became the female act with the largest amount of subscribers, beating out 27-year-old singer Ariana Grande. The girl group then accumulated more subscribers outnumbering artists like Eminem, Ed Sheeran, and Marshmello, before reaching their newest milestone.
The group first made their debut in 2016 and have since broken tons of records, including becoming the first K-Pop group to perform at Coachella, the first K-Pop act to surpass 1.5 billion views on a music video (“Ddu-du Ddu-du”), and lots more. They now have over 17 billion views on their YouTube channel.
In order to celebrate this great achievement, one that we’re sure they’ll break again soon, we decided to rank BLACKPINK’s music videos, not including the solo work done by group members Jennie and Rosé.
