The MTV VMAs are only a few weeks away, and the list of performers for the annual award show keeps growing!
Earlier today (August 15), MTV revealed that BLACKPINK, Jack Harlow, Lizzo and Måneskin will take the stage at the 2022 MTV VMAs, which air live on Sunday, August 28th.
According to the network, BLACKPINK will make their U.S. award show debut with a can’t-miss, first U.S. performance of “Pink Venom,” live on the “VMAs” stage; Harlow, a 7-time nominee this year, will return to the VMAs stage for his first-ever solo performance; Lizzo, a 4-time nominee this year, will perform at the show for the first time since 2019, singing “2 Be Loved” from her critically acclaimed new album Special; and Måneskin, who are up for two awards this year, will make their VMA debut performance by singing #1 alternative hit single “SUPERMODEL.”
The global superstar performers join an already star-studded list of performers at the VMAs this year, as Anitta, J Balvin, Marshmello x Khalid and Panic! At The Disco will also be making their way to the VMAs stage for unforgettable performances. Additionally, Kane Brown is set to headline the Toyota Stage and Nicki Minaj will perform live for the first time since 2018 when she receives the prestigious Video Vanguard Award.
Last month, the network announced its star-studded nominees, with Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar, and Lil Nas X leading the pack with seven nominations each, followed by Doja Cat and Harry Styles with six. Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd are also big nominees, as they are up for five Moon Person awards each. The 2022 MTV VMAs will air LIVE from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on Sunday, August 28th @ 8PM ET/PT on MTV.
