Grab your popcorn and candy and get ready because the 89th Annual Academy Awards have finally arrived!
The show was hosted by The Late Night Show host, Jimmy Kimmel, and he killed it!
The awards were broadcasted live from The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. This award show is special because it’s one of the biggest award shows for film, where some of the most iconic actors come together and support one another and accept their awards.
The hit musical, La La Land starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone was the biggest winner of the night taking home 6 awards, including Best Director for Damien Chazelle, the youngest director in history to win the award.
Moonlight was also a big winner including Best Supporting Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay. It was a tough call for Best Picture because they were all such amazing films, but it was Moonlight who took home the award in a very awkward mix-up that will go down in Oscar history.
