Two years after her making her debut at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Doja Cat returned to the desert for a massive headlining performance that brought this year’s sold-out event to a bittersweet ending.
The pop star made sure to bring out all of her biggest hits to the stage, where she was joined by special guests 21 Savage, A$AP Rocky and South African acapella group The Joy. Showcasing her artistic direction with detailed sets, a ton of pyro and a unique wardrobe, the 28-year-old teamed up with celebrity makeup artist Ernesto Casillas for a stunning, monochromatic look to complement her vision.

“I took inspiration from the textural elements and monochromatic palette of bone and earth tones of Doja’s looks,” Casillas shared in a statement. “I decided to translate that onto her eyes and lips using matte textures and similar tones.”

“To prep Doja’s skin for a long-lasting base, I applied a small amount of the All Nighter Face Primer ($39) to her t-zone. Next, I buffed in the Face Bond Self Setting Waterproof Foundation in shade 20 ($40) and brightened up the center of her face using the Quickie 24 HR Full Coverage Waterproof Concealer in 40NN ($33),” Ernesto shares.
“To add depth and warmth, I bronzed her face with the Stay Naked Threesome ($38). I locked in her complexion with the All Nighter Waterproof Makeup Setting Spray ($36).”
EYES
“On the eyes, I reached for my Naked3 Eyeshadow Palette ($59). I framed the eyes using my favorite duo- [24/7 Glide-On] Perversion Eyeliner ($23) and Mascara ($28),” he continues.
LIPS
The lips were given a fully dimensional nude treatment using a combination of 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencils in ‘Conspiracy’ ($25) and ‘Naked’ ($25),” he concludes.
