The last time BTS performed at a venue near me, I foolishly, naively, and embarrassingly thought I could wait up until the last minute to buy my tickets. I hate planning ahead, you see: committing to expensive tickets months in advance has always been my great concert weakness. (What if my friends bail? What if I have school work or a big project? What if it somehow snows 3 feet in September?!) But this time, there will be no sleeping on ticket purchasing. Because the K-Pop superstars just announced they are heading out on their “Love Yourself” World Tour. (And, this time, they just so happen to be coming to my hometown!)
The currently announced tour dates are:
Seoul, South Korea – Aug. 25-26, Olympic Stadium
Los Angeles, California – Sept. 5-6 and 8, Staples Center
Oakland, California – Sept. 12, Oracle Arena
Fort Worth, Texas – Sept. 15-16, Fort Worth – Convention Center
Hamilton, Ontario – Sept. 20, 22-23, First Ontario Centre
Newark, New Jersey – Sept. 28-29, Prudential Center
Chicago, Illinois – Oct. 2-3, United Center
London, England – Oct. 9-10, The O2 Arena
Amsterdam, The Netherlands – Oct. 13, Ziggo Dome
Berlin, German – Oct. 16-17, Mercedes-Benz Arena
Paris, France – Oct. 19-20, Accorhotels Arena
Don’t worry if you don’t see a venue near you listed: there’s still hope because more dates around Europe, North America, and Asia will be announced soon. Make sure to be careful with your ticket purchases, ARMYs: since these are going to be hot, instant sell-out tickets, scalpers and fakes will definitely be out there trying to take advantage. At press time, passes for these tour dates aren’t for sale yet, so be sure to keep an eye on the official band social media account for shopping times.
If by some ill fate you are not able to see the guys live, there are still so many exciting announcements from the band that you will be able to support. First up, BTS’ upcoming album Love Yourself: Tear, is due out on May 18 — and it’s sure to be life-changing. Then, the group will be performing something special at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, which take place on May 20 this year. You know they are going to kill it!
