Caitlin McHugh Stamos Brings “Arm Candy” Husband John Stamos to Mammoth Film Festival For Ultimate Date Night in the Mountains

It’s a date night for Caitlin McHugh Stamos and husband John Stamos!

The 37-year-old spent her weekend up in the mountains at the Mammoth Film Festival in Mammoth Lakes, California, as her indie film The Invisible Raptor premiered on the big screen on Friday (March 1).

Wearing a tee that was right on theme the flick, Caitlin paired her look with a black blazer, a red midaxi skirt and brown booties, however, her best accessory of the night was her “arm candy” husband John who was beaming with excitement for his wife and her latest project.

“[John] is here for once… he gets to be my eye candy… my trophy husband,” Caitlin said with a laugh to our reporters on the red carpet earlier this weekend. “He hasn’t seen the movie yet and I’m excited for him to see it.”

“It’s like a whole date weekend for us,” Caitlin continues. “We left the kid at home and we’re having a good time up here.”

In The Invisible Raptor, The Tyler Corporation has finally figured out how to genetically engineer a raptor, but they didn’t stop there… they also made it invisible. Unfortunately for them, he’s a really smart invisible raptor. After easily breaking out of its enclosure—because it’s invisible—this apex predator unleashes 70 million years of suppressed primal instincts on the community of Spielburgh County.

The county’s only hope is Dr. Grant Walker, a pragmatic, washed up, amusement park paleontologist, and Deniel “Denny” Denielson, the park’s lonely, hapless security guard who longs for a best friend.

These two polar opposite’s will have to put their differences aside and work together to investigate this looming, invisible threat. And maybe they’ll become best friends… Or at least “work friends.”

But Grant and Denny can’t do it on their own. They’ll need the help of local celebrity chicken farmer Henrietta McCluckskey (as seen on TV) and Grant’s old flame (and possible baby momma?) Amber, to uncover the truth behind the mysterious disappearances, unexplained carnage and copious amounts of dinosaur s**t in their beloved Spielburgh County.

“The film is filled with poop, laughter and chickens,” McHugh, who plays Amber, shares.

The 60-year-old Full House alum took to social media the following day to show his love and support for his wife Caitlin by posting a carousel of photos with the caption, “Absolutely love those moments when I get to play the role of “arm candy” and just stand by my incredible wife, @Caitlinskybound especially at cool events like the @mammothfilmfestival.”

“Seeing her shine with her movie, @invisibleraptormovie, I couldn’t be prouder of my amazing wife. Supporting her in these moments is an honor I cherish deeply,” he continued, before adding “Can’t wait for you all to see this very funny film. Great work @lordmikecapes.”

The couple’s night out comes just one month after their six-year wedding anniversary, which they both commemorated with sweet posts on their respective Instagram pages.

As for the secret to keeping their marriage stronger than ever? Sneaking out for weekend getaways for things just like Mammoth Film Festival.

“We got here yesterday and went for a massage. We then got caramel apples across the way, so our time has been filled with relaxing and eating,” she reveals. “Weekends like this have been really great for us. My son, who I love dearly, likes to sleep with us sometimes, so it’s nice to get a bed to ourselves once in awhile.”

McHugh first met Stamos on the set of Law & Order: SVU, however, the didn’t reconnect until a few years later. They wound up getting engaged at Disneyland in October 2017 just after a year of dating and tied the knot in February 2018. The couple share one son together, Billy, who came into the world just two months after their wedding in April 2018.
