‘Camp Rock 3’ Is Officially Happening — with the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato

Grab your marshmallows and guitars — Camp Rock is officially returning for a brand-new jam session.

Disney Branded Television announced today (September 17) that Camp Rock 3 has officially been greenlit for Disney+ and Disney Channel, marking the first new installment in the iconic musical franchise in 15 years. Production kicked off this week in Vancouver.

Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas will reprise their fan-favorite roles as Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray, guest-starring as their fictional band Connect 3. Demi Lovato will also return behind the scenes as an executive producer alongside the Jonas Brothers. The four stars will help shape the next chapter while passing the torch to a new generation of campers.

Joining the cast are rising Disney talents Liamani Segura (Descendants: Wicked Wonderland) as Sage, Malachi Barton (ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires) as Fletch, Lumi Pollack (Electric Bloom) as Rosie, newcomer Hudson Stone as Desi, Casey Trotter (The Thundermans) as Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as Callie, and Ava Jean as Madison. Maria Canals-Barrera returns as Connie, while Sherry Cola (Joyride) makes her franchise debut as Lark.

This time around, the Gray brothers are gearing up for a reunion tour when they suddenly lose their opening act. Their solution? Head back to Camp Rock to find the next big star. As the new campers compete for the career-changing spot, friendships, rivalries, and a little romance set the stage for a music-packed summer.

Camp Rock is an important part of the Disney Channel Original Movie legacy, with unforgettable music, energetic storytelling, and characters that live in the hearts of fans to this day,” said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television. “Bringing it back with Kevin, Joe, Nick and Demi is such a full-circle moment, and we can’t wait to reintroduce this world to a new generation.”

The original Camp Rock (2008) and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010) remain among Disney Channel’s top 10 original movies of all time, both premiering as the No. 1 cable movies in their respective years. The franchise not only delivered chart-topping tracks but also helped launch the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato into superstardom.

The third installment will be directed by Veronica Rodriguez (The Slumber Party) with choreography by Jamal Sims and a script by Eydie Faye (Slumber Party). Executive producers include Tim Federle (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series), Demi Lovato, Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas, Betsy Sullenger, Spencer Berman, and Gary Marsh, ensuring the original Camp Rock family is back in action, ready to spark nostalgia while introducing the magic to a whole new generation.
