Robinson has a history of battling adversity in his life. Throughout his 5-year collegiate career at the University of Alabama, Robinson was a backup running back for his first four seasons. Thanks to his hard work ethic and never giving up, Robinson earned the starting nod from Coach Nick Saban in his final season in a Crimson Tide uniform.
Robinson should be someone every one of us looks up to, not just as an athlete but, most importantly, as a person. This is someone you want your kids looking up to; in today’s age, it is rare for a player to stay at a respective school with no playing time, the new norm is to transfer, but Robinson has that old-school approach that hard work does pay off.
Regarding the football side of this, the Commanders placed Robinson on the reserve/non-football injury list. This means that he will miss a minimum of four games; as the weeks go by, more clarity will be given as to whether or not Robinson will be able to suit up this season.
That said, the important thing that matters is that Robinson is healthy. This is someone all football fans should be rooting for; the heart and grit of Brian Robinson Jr. are truly unmatched.
