The Dancing With the Stars 2 part finale kicked off tonight airing LIVE (Nov. 22nd) on ABC.
The ballroom had to say goodbye to Carlos PenaVega & Witney Carson.
Dancing With the Stars Season 21 Finalist are: Alek & Lindsay, Bindi & Derek, and Nick & Sharna .
Performances from Meghan Trainor and Ariana Grande joined Who Is Fancy for “Boys Like You”.
The first part of the night called for the Judges pick round.
Carlos PenaVega and Witney were given the Foxtrot. As they danced to The Weeknd’s “The Hills” these two continue to get better as the weeks go by. With just a night left they seem to have more fun with their dances and heightened their chemistry. Completely bringing their A game each time. Tonight they received their first perfect score of the season 30 out of 30.
Alek and Lindsay, fresh off of receiving their first perfect score of the season last week the duo gave a very sexy Rumba. Although Alek says he sees Lindsay as more of a sister the chemistry was undeniable. Displaying a lot of emotion throughout the dance the judges”definitely saw the connection on an emotional level and the movement was on a dynamic level.” said Julianne, but was criticized for weak hip action during the performance. Receiving 9 from Carrie Ann, 9 from Julianne, and 9 from Bruno making their total 27 out of 30 for the night.
Nick Carter and Sharna are bringing it back full force this week. After receiving the lowest scores last week and pushing back to the bottom of the leader board, the duo stepped it up tonight! Julianne stopped by the dance studio to introduce their dance of the night, the Jive. It was a red hot performance from the two showing an improve from Nick’s first Jive at the beginning of the season. “You stand equal to Sharna tonight it was your best performance of the season” said judge Carrie Ann. Simultaneously agreed, straight 10’s from the judges giving them a total of 30 out of 30!
Bindi Irwin and Derek were assigned a Quick Step this week. Bindi truly proves that she is in it to win it and tonight was no short of anticipation from the 17-year-old. The danced proved to be fun and have high energy with a classic old school jazz scene. “That really was a gem of a quick step…when you dance you’re fearless” Bruno described. And just like Bindi’s sparkly dress the duo shined on the dance floor and brings the best The duo pulled together a total of 30 from all of the judges.
The second part of the show calls for The Freestyle Dance. This gives the couples a chance to prove themselves and gain a little more points from the judges before determining who’s eliminated.
Carlos and Witney were first up on the freestyle. Dancing Hip-Hop to Missy Elliot’s “WTF”, even bringing back Paula Deen, Alexa PenaVega and Hayes Grier to join him during his dance left us wondering where we can sign up to learn this dance! Fun and exciting from them both. Adding an additional 30 to Carlos and Witney’s scores making it a perfect night. 60 out of 60!
Alek and Lindsay alot of dynamic and powerful dance moves in a military get-up with a combat style of things. Doing better than their Rumba the duo received an additional 30 points giving them 57 out of 60.Dancing on the side of walls in military
Bindi and Derek gave a non traditional freestyle, making it emotional. Using the power of dance to truly express true emotions. Taking everyone on a journey not leaving a dry eye in the ballroom. additional 30 with a total of 60 for the night.
Nick Carter and Sharna wrapped up the freestyle to “Larger Than Life” by none other than The Backstreet Boys. Bringing the heat and their all. The dance brought back a lot of nostalgia. Adding 30 to their earlier score of the night bringing their total to 60 for the night!
Tomorrow is the season finale of the Dancing With the Stars. Who do you hope will take home the mirror ball trophy?
