We recently told you all about how Demi Lovato is using her currently ongoing Tell Me You Love Me Tour to raise awareness about mental health issues. Now, she’s not only opening up important conversations with her fans: she also wants to share others’ stories using her musical platform.
During every stop on Demi’s North American tour, mental health and wellness advocate CAST on Tour hosts a free pre-show forum for concert ticket holders on mental health awareness. Their goal of erasing the stigma around seeking help. Now, Demi and the organization have teamed up for a contest, which will give one person the platform to share their own personal story of recovery. This is all timed to celebrate Demi’s incredible personal milestone: she has recently become 6 years sober.

The contest winner will be able to flown out to participate as a speaker in Tampa, Florida on March 31. Mike Bayer, the founder and CEO of CAST Centers, will be on hand to provide a private coaching session to prepare for the talk. “The contest is open to anyone with a compelling personal story to tell, describing how they recovered from addiction, anxiety, depression, an eating disorder, or something that affected their mental health,” the center shared in a press release. “The winner will be chosen March 27 on CAST on Tour Instagram.”
If you have a story of your own to tell, the center is inviting you to create a video for social media sharing your recovery. For complete rules and details, be sure to visit CAST Centers’ contest page.
