Disney Channel’s “Sydney to the Max” Set to Return for a Third Season on Friday, March 19th

Big news for fans of Disney Channel‘s hit series Sydney to the Max!

The super popular daughter/father comedy series is coming back for a third season, meaning that we’ll get to see more adventures from Sydney (played by Ruth Righi) and her bestie Olive (played by Ava Kolker), as well as Max’s (played by both Ian Reed Kesler and Jackson Dollinger) flashbacks of his childhood with his best friend Leo (played by Christian J. Simon).

According to the network, the series is set to deliver its boldest season yet as Sydney and her friends, along with Young Max and Leo in the ’90s, embark on eighth grade and take on challenging and relevant issues such as struggles with cultural identity, trying to fit in, coping with divorce and the impact of microaggressions.

It will continue to follow outgoing middle schooler Sydney Reynolds who lives with her single dad Max in the house he grew up in, along with her free-spirited grandmother Judy (played by Caroline Rhea). As Sydney navigates becoming a teenager alongside her bestie Olive, Max’s flashbacks of his childhood with his best friend Leo parallel her adventures, illustrating how life’s “growing pains” evolve but don’t really change.

Additional storylines featured in season three touch upon the pitfalls of social media, funny moments when dealing with your crush, and adapting to having a virtual bat mitzvah instead of your dream celebration.

Season 3 of Sydney to the Max premieres Friday, March 19th @ 8:25PM ET/PT on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW, followed by a brand-new episode of Raven’s Home.
