Doja Cat and SZA are officially Grammy winners!
Yesterday (April 3) the pair took the 2022 Grammy Awards stage to accept their first time award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, for their song “Kiss Me More.”
Although SZA made it onto the stage despite her crutches and a sprained ankle, Doja Cat took a bit longer due to the fact that she had to run back from her quick washroom break to accept the award.
While catching her breath Doja was greeted by her fellow artist making fun of her “Girl, you went to the bathroom for like five minutes, are you serious?” SZA laughed.
The “Woman” singer quickly explained that it was the first washroom break she had gotten all night. “Listen, I have never taken such a fast piss in my whole life,” Doja said.

After the audience’s laughter died down and Doja caught her breath, she continued her speech.
“Thank you to everybody, my family, my team, I wouldn’t be here without you and I wouldn’t be here without my fans,” she said. “And you know what, SZA, you are everything to me. You are incredible. You are the epitome of talent, you’re a lyricist, you are everything. And I need you, I need you to say something, something, please give them something.”
“Thank you, Doja, thank you to my mama, thank you to God and just thank all of y’all. And I’m glad you made it back in time.” SZA said with a big smile on her face.
“Damn, I like to downplay s**t, but this is a big deal,” Doja explained with tears in her eyes. “Thank you everybody! Be safe.”
