Dua Lipa made an 80-year-old fan very happy last night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon!
The “Don’t Start Now” singer surprised Papa Richy, a big fan of Dua who went viral on TikTok in October of last year. The TikTok video showed Kadie Bernstein, Papa Richy’s granddaughter, surprising her grandpa with tickets to Dua’s Future Nostalgia tour. Papa Richy’s reaction was so wholesome as he broke out into excitement after he figured out he was going to be able to see the pop singer.

The video was viewed over 7.8 million times and even caught the eyes of the popstar herself! Dua posted the video to her Instagram story and Bernstein got her grandpa’s reaction once again in another TikTok video. Papa Richy had the cutest response, as he said, “Wooo! How do I see that?” followed by him saying that he was going to ask someone he knew to show him how to see her post.

Fast-forward to Thursday night (March 3) where Dua made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The late-night talk show host brought up the adorable video, and even flew Papa Richy and his granddaughter to what they thought was a “radio show” in New York City. Little did they know that “radio show” was actually The Tonight Show and Dua was the special guest!
Fallon surprised Papa Richy, who at first didn’t realize that it was Dua Lipa. That was until Fallon told him and he screamed, “Oh my God! Holy S–!”
Fallon then mentioned that he heard one of Papa Richy’s dreams was to dance with Dua Lipa. To which he responded, “Yes, of course!” The Roots started to play music as the 80-year-old and pop star embraced each other while dancing.
