Elon Musk and Grimes are both single again!
The announcement of the ex-couples split comes on the heels of the “Genesis” singer’s Vanity Fair interview, where she finally put a label on her relationship with the SpaceX founder while promoting her upcoming music.
“There’s no real word for it, I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid.” Grimes explained. “We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time…. We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it.”
After the interview was released on March 10, Grimes quickly took to her socials to update what she had said in the story.

Along with the 33-year-old announcing their split, she also revealed that she and Musk recently welcomed their second child together via surrogate!
When asked by the interviewer if she and Musk had another child together, Grimes hesitated then responded.
“I’m not at liberty to speak on these things. Whatever is going on with family stuff, I just feel like kids need to stay out of it, and X is just out there. I mean, I think E is really seeing him as a protégé and bringing him to everything and stuff.… X is out there. His situation is like that. But, yeah, I don’t know.”
After a pause the “Oblivion” singer revealed that the now ex-couple did have a second child, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk also known as Y for short, who Grimes says is “a little colicky too.”
Grimes has posted asking for the public to respect her daughter’s privacy. “Didn’t mean for them 2 find out about my daughter so please respect her privacy as I’d love her to be able to live as private of a life as possible 🤍” She wrote on Twitter.
