“Euphoria” Season 2, Episode 6 Recap – February 13, 2022

🚨 Spoiler Alert: Do NOT read if you have not watched the February 13th episode of Euphoria! 🚨

Super Bowl LVI might have been yesterday (February 13), but many people were anxiously waiting for a different type of showdown between characters Maddy and Cassie on the latest episode of Euphoria .The show had drama, heartache, and intensity that left audiences on the edge of their seat.

To quickly recap, the last episode left off on Rue coming home after her run around town trying to escape the reality of becoming clean. The emotions kicked off right from the start of this week’s episode as you see Rue struggling to stand, bathe herself, and eat during her process of withdrawing from drugs.

We also got our little crumb of Barbie Ferreria’s character, Kat, but it wasn’t a good one, as she gaslighted her boyfriend into breaking up with her because of both the inner struggles she is dealing with and that she just doesn’t find him interesting.

“Fexi” was also strong in this episode. Euphoria fans have been waiting for this since episode 1, and they finally got what they have been dying to see.

Lexi and Fezco seem to understand each other in a way that no one else does. Audiences were blushing and smiling seeing the two sing “Stand By Me” when talking about Lexi’s upcoming play, having the viewers ship them together even more than before.

Despite all these moments, it was Alexa Demie’s character, Maddy, that everyone was excited to see last night. In episode five, Maddy found out that Cassie, her BFF, was sleeping with her ex-boyfriend Nate Jacobs. If you’ve been an OG Euphoria fan, you know that Maddy is a confident and fiery woman. However, we saw a different side to Maddy in this episode a more vulnerable side that left us aching for her character.

Maddy has the tape of Nate’s dad and Jules that can ultimately ruin the Jacob’s family. We see the inner struggle that she is facing as she lays with the tape in her bed. Nate ends up trespassing Maddy’s home and waits in her room — but of course — Nate isn’t there to apologize for what he did. Instead, he pulls a gun on Maddy.

Nate uses Maddy’s love for him against her putting the gun to his own head with a random bullet in the rounds. Each time he pulls the trigger, it is unknown whether the bullet will leave the gun. Maddy is terrified and although she wants to keep the tape for her own defense, it is her love for Nate that eventually wins.

Maddy ends up telling Nate where the tape is and she is left on the bed crying after the incident. Hearts ached for Maddy as people watched the episode, especially because her BFF, Cassie, was trying to justify her actions for sleeping with Maddy’s ex-boyfriend.

Euphoria released a teaser for next week’s episode that already has fans breaking down every moment! In the clip, we see Lexi’s anticipated play will finally happen all while her love interest Fezco is being comprised by people who he considered friends. You can watch the full video below.
