After days of speculation, the rumours are true!
Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney, 24, is officially engaged to her longtime boyfriend Jonathan Davino, 37, PEOPLE confirmed.
News of the couple’s engagement began when Sweeney was seen in public on Feb. 28 wearing a large diamond ring on her engagement finger.
Although the two have never commented on their relationship, they were first linked together in October 2018 after being photographed together. Later on, their relationship was seemingly confirmed in 2020 when photos of their PDA-filled beach trip surfaced on the Internet. Davino’s family owns a 14th Round and Finalbell, a device technology and packaging company.
Back in February, the HBO Max star appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan where she talked more about her decision to keep her love life on the low.
“I don’t date people in the spotlight,” she told the magazine. “I don’t date actors or musicians or anyone in entertainment because I can just be normal Syd that way and it’s easiest. I have a great support system. I have people who will battle for me and allow me to be on the pedestal and shine without making me feel like, ‘Oh no, I’m shining too bright and I need to step back.”

She went on to explain that she looks for certain qualities in a partner.
“I look for a best friend. I need to be able to be with someone who I can literally hang out with 24/7 and never get sick of and we laugh every single day.”
