Eva Longoria is getting her own podcast!
The award-winning actress is teaming up with iHeartMedia’s My Cultura Podcast Network, which features all-new original podcasts where Latinx voices and stories from content creators like Longoria will be highlighted.
“I’m excited to be partnering with iHeartMedia to bring you a new slate of podcasts, which touches on everything I love while also celebrating our culture and uplifting the stories of our community,” said Longoria in a press release. “As a longtime podcast listener, these are three shows that I personally would want to listen to and can’t wait to bring listeners along on this journey.”
The actress, producer, director, and activist will now add podcast host to the list after her first show will premiere on March 31st and will be available on iHeartRadio. You can listen to the trailer of Connections with Eva Longoria below:
“We’re incredibly excited about this partnership, and the growth of our network, as we continue to tell our stories and celebrate our Latinidad,” said Gisselle Bances, SVP, Head of Production and Development for iHeartMedia’s My Cultura in a press release. “We’re thrilled to partner with Eva as we continue to increase the representation and visibility of our community and cultura in the podcast industry and beyond.”
My Cultura’s goal became shedding light on Latinx talents, celebrating them, and making sure their voices are heard. Longoria will cover two of the podcast’s series, including interview series plus a food and culture show. She will create conversations based on topics that aren’t often spoken about that might cause some sort of effect on us, including parenting and politics.
Dominican actress Dania Ramírez will join the Mexican actress in this new podcasting journey by producing a scripted podcast series originating from true stories.
Other podcasts coming up later this year include the scripted series, Sisters of the Underground, where the true story behind the Mirabel sisters will be shared; and Hungry for History, where Longoria and Maite Gomez-Rejón take on an exploration of the origins of a few of the tastiest dishes and ingredients from la cultura.
