Get to Know Farmers Ty Ferrell and Mitchell Kolinsky: Two of the Four Bachelors Looking For Love on FOX’s New Dating Show “Farmer Wants A Wife” (Watch)

New farmers and more romance! After airing in 32 countries and resulting in 201 marriages and 514 children (and counting…), FOX has brought back the fresh take on dating where big city girls fall in love with farmers and rural living with a brand-new season of Farmer Wants A Wife

Superstar entertainer and Grammy Award winner Jennifer Nettles returns as host this year, as season two’s new crop of farmers — Ty Ferrell, Mitchell Kolinsky, Brandon Rogers and Nathan Smothers — who are in search of real, lasting love.

Each week, viewers have seen (and will continue to see) the farmers host a group of single women who leave behind the comfort and convenience of city life for the charms and challenges of country living, as they embark on an adventure that could change the course of their lives forever. Throughout the journey, the farmers — who have diverse backgrounds in cattle ranching, citrus, potato and barley farming, horse training and more — show each group what it is really like on an actual working farm, from tending to the land, harvesting cops and feeding cattle, to the behind-the-scenes business operations.

“It took my breath away,” farmer Mitchell Kolinsky tells Celeb Secrets host Juliet Schroder exclusive about filming during a virtual junket. “Just seeing all these big production trucks coming in with cameras and you know, 20, 30 people… it was also humbling because it was a great experience and I get to see it all come back now.”

“It was funny to see the girls’ faces when you introduce them to the farm,” Ty Ferrell adds. “For me, it was showing them the horses or going into the barn and they’re kind of bright-eyed and looking around like’s okay, this isn’t a vacation. This is really the everyday life.'”

While the entire process was only two months long, each farmer tells Celeb Secrets that they took away so much from the experience, teasing that there actually might even be a happily ever after by the season finale.

“[Being on ‘Farmer Wants A Wife’] definitely strengthened my patience. My mom always told me to listen and then talk and I truly learned that lesson. Having five women in the house made me just shut up and live my life,” Mitchell laughs. “I also learned to just enjoy every day because we’re not promised tomorrow. I went in — if you noticed my date with Kiana — we talked about how important life is. I’m just so thankful for the opportunity to meet these wonderful women and I had a great time with them. It only gets better.”

“For me, I think the biggest thing was going through the experience and interacting with so many people. You then go and do these confessionals and master interviews, so you really learn to take each day for what it is and you get to reflect on it,” Ty adds. “There was a whole slew of things that I experienced, and it was nice to look back and also reflect on it and see those memories and get to relive them again. I’m still learning the process, though.”

And although the guys put it all on the line when trying to find their forever person, they say there were some really fun, light-hearted moments fans may or may not get to see when new episodes air.

“There was a day that I taught the ladies to rope. It’s actually already been on a couple of the episodes and it was such a fun day,” Ty shares. “We all enjoyed it a whole lot and I wish there would’ve been more of it, but, you know, it’s an hour-long TV show and there are three other farmers, but it was such a fun day.”

“For me, every day on the farm was fun. Every day waking up truly… we had not only different tasks going on, but it was a new day. We just had new events, new people, new things… just stuff going on, so it’s truly a good show and every episode so different,” Mitchell continues. “But my core memories are from the special dates that I went on. Those were really good.”

In tonight’s episode titled “Temptation Strolls into Town,” the farmers and their ladies form stronger bonds on their solo dates, but this will be put to the test when Jennifer Nettles arranges a surprise for the farmers that is an irresistible opportunity. The farmers have to make the big decision of whether or not to take Jennifer up on her offer and risk putting existing connections on the farms in jeopardy.

To get you excited for the new episode, Celeb Secrets has an exclusive first look inside a deep conversation Melanie has with her farmer Mitchell during her one-on-one time. The blonde beauty says the 27-year-old sometimes “puts her in a box” based on how she appears, making her feel like the strong flame they once had was slowly burning out due to her lifestyle not being compatible with his.

“It’s hard to relate my world to yours,” Mitchell says, to which Melanie replies, “How can I help you understand me more? Because I feel like there kind of has been a little bit of disconnect…”

Will this lead to Mitchell sending Melanie home? We’ll have to wait and see when it all unfolds later this evening.
