Hulu Drops Yet Another ~Creepy~ Trailer for “Nine Perfect Strangers” (Watch)

Our excitement for Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers is growing by the minute!

Earlier today (July 22), the streaming network just dropped another trailer for their new drama, based off the best-selling book by Laine Moriaty

Setting the spooky tone for the series, the clip paints Masha (played by Nicole Kidman) as a trusting, but also questionable health guru. The preview features a very creepy sequence, narrated by Kidman, that says, “Welcome to Tranquillum House. We’re going to get you well. You came here to heal. This is going to be a wonderful journey. Sometimes it’ll be unpleasant. There’s nothing to fear. You’re mine now…and you want to be mine.”

From this simple statement alone, viewers can already guess that this show will be unsettling and frankly, not so tranquil at all.

Hulu

Produced by Gillian Bohrer and David E. Kelley and directed by Jonathan Levine, the eight-episode series takes place at a boutique health-and-wellness resort, where it follows nine stressed city dwellers who attend the resort hoping to find a new and better way of living.

The woman in charge of watching over these nine attendees during their 10-day stay is Masha (Kidman), who is on a mission to reinvigorate their minds and bodies, while they encounter crazy and unpredictable events throughout their stay at the resort.

Along with the intriguing storyline that this show offers, the star-studded cast also includes Melissa McCarthy, Samara Weaving, Luke Evans, Melvin Gregg, Grace Van Patten, Tiffany Boone, and more.

Nine Perfect Strangers premieres August 18th on Hulu.
