J Blavin and his girlfriend Valentina Ferrer have officially welcomed their newest addition to their growing family!
Yesterday (July 1), Ferrer announced that she’s officially a mom by posting a sweet black-and-white photo of her holding her baby’s tiny foot with the caption, “4 days of the best Love 💕💕💕,” suggesting that the baby was born on June 27.

No further details have been revealed, however, the caption suggests that the baby was born on June 27th. Balvin has yet to address his child’s birth, but he did tweet “Querido Rio” — which means “Dear Rio” in Spanish — on the same day. Fans are convinced that Rio is the child’s name.

Back in April, Ferrer confirmed her pregnancy in an interview with Vogue Mexico and revealed how she find out she was expecting. “I tested myself in the bathroom with my dog so I wouldn’t be alone. I did like three in a row because I didn’t believe it.”
The model recalled how Balvin completely “froze” when she told the Colombian singer.
“He froze. He was happy, but it was like a call from Zoom that does not work when the WiFi crashes. He stayed frozen,” she said to the glossy. “I told him in person, but that’s how he reacted.”
When the interview was published, the 27-year-old took to Instagram to share the pregnancy news by writing “Se va agrandando la familia,” which means “the family is growing” in Spanish. Balvin showed his support by posting a single red heart emoji in the comments.

The couple never revealed the gender of their child, however, when speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the 36-year-old “Mi Gente” singer hinted at the child being a boy my saying “I’m going to be his best friend.”
Balvin and Ferrer first met on the set of his “Sigo Extrañándote” music video shoot in 2017 and made their first red carpet debut at New York Fashion Week a year later.
