The Jacksonville Jaguars moved themselves up in the AFC playoff hunt after defeating the New York Jets 19-3 on Thursday Night Football.
Trevor Lawrence did it all for the Jags offense as the second-year quarterback ended the primetime win with 229 passing yards, 51 rushing yards, and a rushing touchdown on the game’s only touchdown. As for Devin Lloyd, the rookie linebacker finished the win with an interception, a pass deflection, and a tie for the team-high in tackles with nine.

It is always impressive when some of your youngest players lead the way for your team. It also shows the difference the new coaching staff led by Doug Pederson has made compared to the disaster and utter disgrace of Urban Meyer and co a season ago.
Also contributing nicely for Jacksonville were tight end Evan Engram, pass rusher Roy Robertson-Harris, and defensive back Tyson Campbell, to name a few. Engram had a team-high seven receptions to go along with a team-high 113 receiving yards, while the two defenders in Robertson-Harris and Campbell combined for nine tackles, three pass deflections, and two tackles for loss.
As for the Jets, it was a tale of two units as the defense was stellar, as it has been in each game this season, while the offense was plain and simply atrocious as Zach Wilson ended up getting benched in the game to go along with absolutely no run game from Bam Knight and crew in this one.
This loss for the Jets is 100% on the offense, as their defense held the Jaguars to just one touchdown.
The Jaguars are on an upward trajectory as they fight for a playoff spot and will look to win their fourth game in a row as they take on the Texans in week seventeen.
As for the Jets, they will look to avoid a fifth consecutive loss as they head to Seattle in week seventeen to face off against the Seahawks.
