What are your favorite Christmas family traditions?

JL: Every year around Christmas my dad and I go change the flowers of our family members who have passed away to Christmas ones. My daughter has started coming and helping also, so it’s just really special to me.

What is your daughter’s favorite way to celebrate Christmas?

JL: She loves her advent calendar with a bible verse everyday and of course Elf on a shelf.

If you were to make a Christmas album, which songs would definitely want to cover?

JL: I love Blue Christmas. And my daughter loves the Mariah Carey one – so for sure those.

If you could design your own ugly Christmas sweater, what would you put on it?

JL: Everything. Make it as tacky as possible.

What’s the best gift you ever gave or received from your sister?

JL: She gave me this mini red car/go cart that looked like a little Mercedes. It was awesome. I still have it.

What was it like performing at the Opry for the first time?

JL: Unreal. No words to describe how special it was to me.

What are your plans for the new year? Do you have any new music or shows in the works?

JL: For sure some more shows! Hopefully switching a few things up and getting some new stuff out there also.

What would you say was a highlight of 2014? Any goals for 2015?

JL: 2014 was a huge year for me personally and professionally. I am so blessed for this year. I have to say the highlight would be getting married was the best thing! I have a lot of goals for 2015. I think I need to answer my phone and respond to people more. That’s one of my silly goals for 2015!
