Jansen Panettiere, Brother of Hayden Panettiere Dead at 28

An unfortunate loss for the Panettiere family this weekend.

Jansen Panettiere, the younger brother of Hayden Panettiere, was confirmed dead by his reps to Deadline yesterday evening (Feb. 20) after rumors initially surfaced from TMZ.

The cause of death has not been revealed. Although a law enforcement source claims there was no suspicions of foul play when they arrived to the scene after the initial call for help on Sunday around 5:30 p.m. local time (Feb. 19).

Jansen, who was born five years after Hayden, entered the entertainment industry at an early age, just like his older sister.

His first jobs were a guest spot on a 2002 episode of Even Stevens on Disney Channel and voice acting for the animated Jacob Two-Two series.

From there, Jansen gained acting credits from the television shows Hope & Faith, Third Watch, Tiger Cruise, and Everyone Hates Chris. He also kept doing voiceover work, contributing his skills to Ice Age: The Meltdown, Robots, Blue’s Clues, and The X’s.

In the 2010s, Jansen appeared in a number of movies and TV shows, including The Walking Dead, The Perfect Game, 8, The Forger, and The Martial Arts Child.

However, Jansen is most famously credited for his art work.

His true passion laid within painting and he invested all his time into it, as seen from his Instagram page with 13.9k followers. Often times collaborating with his fellow artist girlfriend, Catherine Michie.

Catherine expressed a homage to the artist after his passing, “Jansen, I met you only a year ago, but you have been my best friend and biggest fan.”
