Jennifer Lopez is adding another trophy to her growing collection next month.
The global superstar revealed to MTV host Sway Calloway that she will be receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2018 MTV VMAs. Joining a prestigious list of past Vanguard recipients that includes Michael Jackson, Madonna, Guns N’ Roses, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, BEYONCÉ, Kanye West, Rihanna and P!nk, Lopez is the seventh woman to claim the prize since its inception in 1984.
It looks like the VMAs will be JLo’s night to shine, as she will celebrate the honor with her first VMA performance since 2001. She’s also up for two awards this year for her smash hit “Dinero.”
The 2018 VMAs air live from Radio City Music Hall on Monday, August 20th @ 9PM ET/PT on MTV.
