After what seems like an eternity, Johnny Orlando has FINALLY released his debut EP last month (March 15) and we simply can’t get enough!
Titled Teenage Fever, Orlando levels up his take on pop by emanating confidence and charisma over danceable electronic grooves and a subtle hip-hop bounce. Once again co-writing with his sister Darian and a range of acclaimed collaborators including Linnea Södahl (Zara Larsson, Anne-Marie), Nick Ruth (Ryan Tedder), Jordon Manswell (Daniel Caesar) and Matthew Burnett (Jessie Reyez, Daniel Caesar), Orlando gets more personal than ever this time around.
“There were definitely nerves on the first session for sure,” he tells Celeb Secrets. “I was freaking out. I didn’t really know what to do in a writing session… I figured out you kind of just write surprisingly. I’ve kind of been nervous about the whole thing all along because it is a big step in my career and I’m really excited to see where it leads me.”
The six-track extended play is the follow-up to Orlando’s explosive “What If” with Mackenzie Ziegler that has over 100 million global streams. It’s a big change for the teen singer, as his lyrics are more honest than ever backed by unshakable hooks.
