Katy Perry is about to spoil her daughter with all things Disney!
The multi-platinum singer jumped on a Zoom call with Radio Disney’s Morgan Tompkins last week, gushing about her love for the Mouse House and if she’ll be passing it on to her baby once born.
“Of course,” she said with excitement. “I do it already with my three and six year old nieces…I put on the originals of everything [Disney], like ‘Dumbo’ and ‘Snow White.’ I love all of the new stuff but I’m like just experience it the original way…”
“One of the first baby outfits that I bought was a little Minnie [Mouse] outfit from Tokyo Disneyland,” she added. “I already have a couple of Disney outfits for her.”
Perry also talked about her latest single “Daises” which dropped last Friday (May 15) as well as her yet-to-be titled upcoming studio album releasing Friday, August 14th via Capitol Records.
“[Daises] is a song that is basically about staying true to your dreams no matter what anyone else says…This song has taken on a whole different meaning in quarantine because for me we’ve had so much time to reflect. Maybe we’ve taken things for granted and put some of these dreams that we had for ourselves on a shelf thinking that we could just reach them at any moment in time and never realized our whole world is going to change and flip upside down.”
Adding, “This record is really a record of resilience…That has been my keyword for the past couple of years. I feel like I’m landing on my feet. Two years ago my thoughts were not great and my ideas weren’t great. Now I am taking it day by day but I have a child coming. I’ve got things to look forward to and I’m going to be a mom. There are a lot of silver linings that are coming out of it. I’ve found my light at the end of the tunnel and that’s what this record is about.”
