If Coachella weekend has a main character energy moment outside the festival grounds, it’s definitely the 818 Outpost— and this year’s desert takeover from Kendall Jenner proved exactly why.
Taking over Indio on April 10, the fourth annual 818 Outpost Presented by Cash App — delivered everything you want from a Coachella-adjacent party: celebrities, killer music, buzzy brand moments, and an effortlessly cool crowd that looked like it stepped straight out of a Pinterest festival mood board.
And yes, somehow we scored an invite.
Let’s just say walking into the open-air desert oasis felt like stepping into the most stylish backyard party imaginable — if that backyard happened to be filled with some of the biggest names in pop culture.

Set against a dreamy backdrop inspired by Palm Springs’ iconic mid-century modern architecture, the 818 Outpost blended breezeblock textures, retro-futurist design, and sun-drenched lounge areas that made every corner feel Instagram-ready.
Before long, the guest list started to look like the ultimate Coachella group chat. Stars including Kylie Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, Lizzo, Winnie Harlow, Justine Skye, Damson Idris, Madison Pettis, Barbie Ferreira and Evan Ross were all spotted throughout the space, mingling with creators, tastemakers, and friends of the brand.
But the real pinch-me moment? Seeing Kendall and Kylie IRL, effortlessly hosting and mingling while proudly representing the brands they’ve built. It’s one thing to see these moments online — it’s another to watch it all happen up close.

The day’s biggest crowd moment arrived when Grammy-winning producer Kaytranada hit the stage for the headlining set.
Festival-goers packed the dance floor with frozen cocktails in hand as the beat dropped, creating the kind of electric energy you only get when the music, crowd, and setting all click at once. Things escalated (in the best way) when Justine Skye joined him onstage for a surprise moment — and then Lizzo jumped up to twerk during the set, instantly sending the crowd into chaos. It was truly a desert dance party moment that will go down in Coachella history.

Of course, the real MVP of the day was Kendall’s tequila brand, 818 Tequila, which kept everyone refreshed with signature cocktails like Ranch Water, Desert Spritzes, and frozen daiquiris courtesy of Fat Tuesday.
Between dancing and celeb spotting, guests explored a curated lineup of brand activations that made the Outpost feel like a mini festival of its own.
Some standout moments included Snapchat’s nostalgic photobooth featuring custom 818 lenses and a DIY keychain station; Postmates’ open-air Pit Stop food garden with bites from Ggiata, Heavy Handed, HomeState, and Puesto; Blank Street Coffee’s west coast debut, serving matcha, iced coffee, and 818-infused drinks. And yes — the gifting was elite.

If Coachella is the ultimate place to discover your next favorite product, 818 Outpost absolutely delivered. Beauty lovers lined up to experience activations from brands like Rhode, Urban Decay, Kylie Cosmetics, Youth To The People, and Tangle Teezer — with everyone leaving the desert with a seriously stacked goodie haul.
Personally, a few favorites quickly became my Coachella weekend essentials.
I couldn’t help but run to the Rhode x 818 airstream to sip on some iced coffee that was totally spiked with a little 818 tequila for the sole purpose of receiving a new peptide lip treatment that I could wear all weekend and beyond. Guests, including me, were able to take home the brand’s latest flavor, Caramelized Banana Carajillo, which was made in partnership with 818.
But the real standout? The brand-new collaboration between Salt & Stone and 818 Tequila. The Amber & Agave fragrance instantly became my new signature scent — I paired it with the lippie and received so many compliments that I lost count.

What makes 818 Outpost stand out isn’t just the celebrity sightings or the brand activations — it’s how everything feels seamlessly blended together. Music, culture, fashion, and community all collide in a way that feels authentic to festival energy rather than overly polished.
You’ll see creators snapping content, friends taking selfies, celebrities casually dancing in the crowd, and people discovering their new favorite products all at the same time. It’s chaotic in the best possible way — like the coolest house party in the desert.
And after experiencing it firsthand, one thing’s clear: if this year’s Outpost was any indication, Kendall Jenner and the 818 team have officially set the gold standard for brand-led Coachella events.
Now the only question left is… how do we get back on the invite list for next year?
